Summary:
I joined the Ljubljana walking tour led by Anja and it was genuinely outstanding. She was deeply knowledgeable about the city’s history, culture and architecture, and managed to share it all in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. She had a speaker so everyone could hear clearly, kept the group together at a comfortable pace, and made sure no one felt left out.
What really impressed me was her ability to answer any question that came her way. It wasn’t just rehearsed facts but real understanding, with thoughtful background stories and the occasional well-timed bit of humour. You could tell she enjoys what she does and takes real pride in it.
The only slightly disappointing moment was seeing how little some people tipped at the end. While the tour is technically free, her time and effort certainly aren’t. The guides even have to pay tax on the groups they take, so if you do go, please tip decently. Think of it as an investment in good karma and in keeping excellent guides like Anja doing what they do best.

We really enjoyed our tour around Ljubljana as our friendly and helpful tour guide Tina not only provided interesting historical, architectural and general facts about the city and led us to the biggest sights but also answered question, gave recommendations etc.
The tour is a good idea to get a first overview of the city before doing more activities as you get some ideas for activities etc. as well.
